Causes we support
We believe that all humans should have equal rights. We believe that humans deserve access to food, shelter and clean water no matter their life choices or situation. We support a woman's right to her bodily autonomy. We believe black lives matter. We believe addiction is a disease and does not devalue anyone. We believe all bodies are beautiful and worthy of love. We believe in marriage equality and LGBTQ+ rights. We are anti-human-trafficking. We believe Trans rights are Human rights. We believe in People Over Profit.
We also believe in buying from small, preferably local businesses and support minority owned businesses first when sourcing our retail materials.
Below you'll find a few charities we support and hope you will as well.
Second Harvest of the Big Bend
"Second Harvest is a nonprofit food bank that collects and distributes food to hunger-relief charities, and also through specialized programs and mobile food distributions undertaken with community partners. We are dedicated to reducing hunger and malnutrition, and we function as the warehouse for millions of pounds of food and other essential products that go out to the community. We are a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic food relief organization, and one of three Feeding America food banks in Florida designated for disaster/crisis response."
Being a local non-profit, Remedy always has an open food drive donation box. We also treat our events as opportunities to raise funds, so we often have raffles, auctions and specials to support Second Harvest who fight hunger in our community.
