Causes we support
Remedy Spa stays rather apolitical. As a business it's for the best not to get too wrapped up in supporting certain candidates or parties. However, as the owner... writing and creating every aspect of this business, I can say I truly don't subscribe to a political party, but there are certain things that should not and are not meant to be political that we do stand for. When we can, we raise money or donate our own for these causes and spread the word.
We believe that all humans should have equal rights. We believe that humans deserve access to food, shelter and clean water no matter their life choices or situation. We support a woman's right to her bodily autonomy. We believe black lives matter. We believe addiction is a disease and does devalue anyone. We believe all bodies are beautiful and worthy of love. We believe in marriage equality and LGBTQ+ rights. We are anti-human-trafficking. We believe Trans rights are Human rights. We believe in People Over Profit.
Second Harvest of the Big Bend
"Second Harvest is a nonprofit food bank that collects and distributes food to hunger-relief charities, and also through specialized programs and mobile food distributions undertaken with community partners. We are dedicated to reducing hunger and malnutrition, and we function as the warehouse for millions of pounds of food and other essential products that go out to the community. We are a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic food relief organization, and one of three Feeding America food banks in Florida designated for disaster/crisis response."
Being a local non-profit, Remedy always has an open food drive donation box. We also treat our events as opportunities to raise funds, so we often have raffles, auctions and specials to support Second Harvest who fight hunger in our community.

Dream Defenders
"We are fighting for a world without prisons, policing, surveillance and punishment. We know that prisons aren’t about safety or accountability but about control and domination over large segments of the population, especially Black people, in order to make a profit. We are different from prison reformers because reformers often create situations where incarceration becomes even more entrenched in our society. Instead, we are fighting for solutions that will produce decarceration, fewer people behind bars and a future world without prisons. This is why Dream Defenders will never fight for the conviction of a police officer: prisons are not about safety, accountability, or justice."
